In mid-2006, a group of investors decided to create a company, which aims to provide complete marine services by integrating their expertise and specialization in their respective fields. Thus, OCEANGATEWAY SHIPPING AND ALLIED SERVICES INCORPORATED was launched. The Securities and Exchange Commission issued the Certificate of Incorporation with registry number CS 200630680 in November 2006.

OCEANGATEWAY SHIPPING AND ALLIED SERVICES, INC. was organized primarily to engage in vessel agency and husbanding of foreign vessels and chartering services. It handles the entrance and clearance of vessels, management of the vessels’ resources while at port, representative of vessel’s owner agent, travel agent service crew sign on/off, and nomination of cargo vessel, cargo brokerage, sub-agent and other shipping-related services. Its operation is mainly in Davao City, where its office is situated, very near the city’s ports. Communication however is broad and the company’s reach is Mindanao-wide and it has partners in Luzon and Visayas.

The officers and staff have over 20 years of collective experience and know-how in their respective fields. The investors, at the same time are its Board of Directors. Further, being based in Davao City, the investors have established good business relations with Philippine Ports Authorities, the Bureau of Customs, Bureau of Immigration and other port authorities.

The company aspires to be recognized as a worthy leader in the shipping business by consistently gearing its efforts to exceed expectations of customers and stakeholders. The complexity and magnitude of services have made the officers and staff aware that their attention should be focused on excellent quality that guarantees profitable business. Apart from that, customer care is also a major issue that is constantly being addressed and is a mark of the company’s level of performance.
